Civil Litigation Paralegal Are you an experienced paralegal seeking a great opportunity for trial preparation and in-courtroom trial experience in State and Federal courts? This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-skilled paralegal to join our esteemed firm. We are a civil defense firm specializing in public entity, police liability, personal injury and employment litigation. We have extremely interesting cases. Responsibilities : Strong knowledge of California rules and court procedures Trial preparation, exhibits, trial binders including tech needs Organize documents and coordinate document productions including bate-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents Prepare document subpoenas Review and summarize discovery responses and medical records Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy Coordinate, track and update process server for service of documents on parties Coordinate the collection of, and return of, original records from client, expert, subpoenaed witnesses, courthouse, and other off-site locations as needed Qualifications : Ability to adhere to strict time deadlines Strong attention to detail Exceptional organizational skills 7 plus years of experience desired Excellent written and verbal communication skills; researching/problem-solving skills Paralegal Certificate Benefits : Medical, dental, and life insurance 401(k) retirement plan with 3% safe harbor contribution Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Gym on premises with outdoor heated pool; nearby bike trail Collegial working environment, firm events, great parking, wide variety of nearby restaurants.
