Job Description:
Year Up United is a one-year or less, intensive job training
program providing in-classroom skill development, internships, job
placement services, and personalized coaching. Participants receive
an educational stipend and combine technical and professional
training with internship and job placement support.
Eligibility includes being 18-29 years old, a high school graduate
or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., and available
Monday-Friday.
Year Up United offers professional business and communication
skills, interviewing and networking skills, resume building, and
ongoing support for career launch. Some coursework is eligible for
college credit.
Key in-depth classes include:
80% of graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary
education within 4 months, with an average starting salary of
$53,000 per year.
