Above all, we embody Dignity & Empathy, treating everyone with respect and compassion, and recognizing the inherent dignity in all individuals.About the JobUnder the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the After School Program (ASP) Site Coordinator is responsible for daily onsite supervision, program implementation, and the development of youth and staff. The ASP Site Coordinator ensures a high level of program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities, working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants, their families, and members of the school administration. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and welcoming after school program site, including spending time in ratio working directly with youth as needed. They will create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco.After School Program dates:

• San Francisco ASP sites: must be available to work August 19, 2024 - June 4, 2025
• San Mateo ASP sites: must be available to work August 19, 2024 - June 12, 2025
• Marin ASP sites: must be available to work August 22, 2024 - June 12, 2025Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Associate's degree or higher, or High School diploma/equivalent, and any of following: passed the District Instructional Aide Exam, CA Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST), or completed 48 college units verified by transcript
  • Must be available Mondays-Fridays, 40 hours/week during program hours, some weekends
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth programs
  • 6+ months in a supervisory role
  • Current YMCA approved CPR and First Aid certification (training available upon hire)
  • Fingerprint background check clearance
  • TB Test clearancePreferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree with teaching credential or passing score on CBEST
    • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit qualified (School-Age emphasis)
    • Demonstrate knowledge, familiarity, and experience working in or with schools within local school districts
    • Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, or other languageAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
